Liverpool John Moores University on behalf of Sensor City Liverpool Limited is seeking a supplier who can provide an apparatus for the laser structuring or otherwise printing of electronic circuits upon complex 3D printed plastics and other materials The apparatus must be capable of the following: • Multiple material handling capability ( 3D printed plastic, glass, ceramic, metal as a minimum requirement) • Capable of handling material of up to maximum size 300mm x 300mm x 130mm • Capable of constructing electrically conducting paths on the 3D material for the purpose of creating electronic circuits within a volume of 100mm x 100mm x 40mm • Constructing the electrically conducting paths to an accuracy of +/- 25 micron (1 mil) • Include an integrated or benchtop separate accessory capable of metallised coating of paths formed on the 3D material if not already directly printed onto the object • Must provide any Exhaust/Extract/ Filter apparatus required • Must provide software and PC to input AND EDIT design files in the following formats as a minimum requirement: Gerber Standard (RS-274-D), Extended Gerber (RS-274-X), Excellon NC Drill (Version 1 and 2), DPF, Auto-CAD DXF • 230V ac single phase operation • The equipment must be New not reconditioned or second user
