Alcohol and Mental Health Targeted Prevention for NHS Black Country ICB
NHS ARDEN AND GREATER EAST MIDLANDS publishes Health & Social Care work continuously — 62 notices, roughly one every 24 days. This is a stream to watch, not a cycle to wait for.
***THIS NOTICE IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY*** NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB) is seeking to hold a market engagement event for providers interested in providing an Alcolhol and Mental Health Dual Diagnosis Service.
The ICB has identified a cohort of patients who frequently attend emergency department and inpatient areas who have both alcohol and mental health issues.
These patients are not engaging with community-based alcohol and mental health services.
They are either not attending, or the services available are failing to meet their needs due to their dual diagnosis.
This new service aims to engage with this cohort of patients enabling engagement within the community, ensuring access to social prescribing in order to enable patient-led interventions that matter and resonate with people's lives and cultural beliefs.
The resultant procurement aims to put in place a 2-year pilot which will seek to investigate how effectively the proposed model is at preventing this cohort of patients from frequently attendances at ED and inpatient areas, and the associated improvements to patients' health which occur as a result of this.
Providers are invited to complete a short market engagement questionnaire based on their views of the service specification provided on EU Supply.
The ICB will also be holding a market engagement event on Thursday 13th October at 3pm.
Providers should express their interest in attending via completion of the market engagement survey found on EU Supply.
