Isles of Scilly Seabird Recovery Project -Operational Plan
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits below the typical range for Environment & Waste contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 11,894 valued Environment & Waste tenders in our corpus.
The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust, as lead partner in the Isles of Scilly Seabird Recovery Project (SRP), is developing a programme of work to clear rats from Bryher, Tresco, St Martin's and the surrounding uninhabited islands.
Following on from successful rat eradication of St Agnes and Gugh in 2013, the SRP will enable all of the off-isles of the Isles of Scilly to be cleared of rats, to enable recolonisation and population growth by seabirds, particularly Manx shearwaters and storm petrels.
An experienced contractor is required to write an Operational Plan to record in detail the logistic steps that would be required for the eradication by a principal contractor, including estimates of labour, time, boating and accommodation requirements, and an appropriate resulting estimate of the cost of a full eradication.
This work is to be undertaken between January - March 2025
