The brief

DCMS launched a call for evidence to gather data and analysis to collect evidence on short-term lets in the UK.

The call for evidence is intended to gather a wide range of information on the short-term letting market and its impacts (both positive and negative).

It asks a range of questions on: - The market today and how it has grown in recent years - Benefits to consumers, businesses & the wider economy - Challenges arising from compliance with the existing regulatory framework, and the impact on housing supply & local communities - Views on the most appropriate potential policy response and their potential impacts - Other information such as the evidence on the approach other cities/countries globally have taken.

DCMS now requires a supplier to analyse the survey responses, which would be available to download in Excel or CSV format from the Qualtrics platform.

Some responses are also being collected via e-mail.

This work will require an analysis of the qualitative and quantitative responses, as well as a summary report of the key findings and policy implications.
