Energy Efficiency Framework

Gentoo Group will soon be approaching the market to procure a number of Framework Providers to assist in its pledge to bring all of its 28,000 properties to a minimum EPC rating of "C".

Survey works are currently ongoing to assess the current condition of Gentoo stock and to recommend future works necessary to upgrade the properties.

The vast majority of works to properties will be minor and therefore this notice is aimed more at SME's than larger Principal Contractors.

Works will be broken up into Lots to suit the varying trades and it is anticipated this will look as follows: Lot 1 - Electrical Improvements Lot 2 - Heating improvements Lot 3 - Insulation Improvements Lot 4 - Heating Installs Lot 5 - PV System Installs Some examples of the types of work to be undertaken are as follows: 1.

Low energy lighting - LED light bulbs and replacement fittings kitchens & bathrooms 2.

Loft Insulation top ups - Minimum standard 300mm top up with 100mm or 200mm 3.

Ceiling insulation - top floor only 4.

Cavity wall Insulation 5.

Party wall insulation 6.

External Wall Insulation 7.

Suspended floor insulation - QBot 8.

Heating system controls a.

Thermostatic radiator valves b.

Programmer and room thermostat c.

Programmable room thermostat 9.

Hot water cylinder a.

Replacement Cylinder with factory fitted insulation b.

Replacement Cylinder insulation jackets 80mm thick c.

Cylinder thermostat 10.

Heating System Renewals - Solid fuel switches only 12no replace with ASHP 11.

Gas Fire removal incl. making good 12.

Electric Fire removal incl. making good 13.

PV System Installs The preliminary budget to complete the works will be approximately £500,000 per year for 4 years.

This cost will be split across all Lots.

It is hoped that an approach to market will be made in April of this year and the purpose of this notice is to seek interest from Organisations who may be interested in delivering these works.
