The brief

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) sought a main works construction contractor to undertake the refurbishment and fit-out of the new Residence for His Majesty's Ambassador in Lisbon, Portugal.

The property will provide residential accommodation for the Ambassador and support diplomatic functions, including formal events and occasional accommodation for visiting VIPs.

The works comprised significant refurbishment, alteration and fit-out works required to make the property suitable for occupation and official diplomatic use.

Appropriate suppliers appointed to the FCDO DPS within the relevant value band were invited to submit tenders for the provision of the above works.

The procurement was conducted as a further competition under the DPS in accordance with PCR 2015.

Tenders were evaluated on the basis of Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT), considering both quality and price in accordance with the published evaluation criteria.

Orostream International Contracts Limited were appointed as the Successful Supplier, having submitted the Most Economically Advantageous Tender.
