Provision of Social Work Training on Attachment and Parenting Capacity, promoting a relationship based (mentalisation) approach for practitioners

This tender is to agree a contract with a specialist in the delivery of social work practitioners training on the subject of attachment and parental capacity, promoting mentalisation as a working approach.

This training will be made available over 30 training days (200 Cafcass practitioners (groups of 20) over 3 days or 300 Cafcass practitioners (groups of 20) over 2 days) and will be delivered across this financial year and the first part of the next in Cafcass venues (likely in London and Manchester.

This programme should include a range of materials and ongoing support in the development of skills.

This training will assist Cafcass staff to improve their knowledge and confidence as experts and will reflect the context of Cafcass staff as non-statutory social workers in a family justice environment.

The impact will be evaluated via Cafcass internal training impact survey 3 months after course completion.
