The brief

Runcorn Waterfront is a residential development and housing renewal project ("the project") in Runcorn Old Town Centre.

The project seeks to capitalise on the investment and momentum generated through the Runcorn Station Quarter and 'Reconnecting Runcorn' Town Deal 'anchor' Interventions.

Runcorn Waterfront is a bold and ambitious proposal to deliver the development of circa 149 new and up to 33 refurbished (energy retrofit) mixed tenure homes to promote a contemporary and sustainable town centre living offer within the heart of the Town Centre.

The development project will have an estimated construction works value of approximately £26.3 Million and support circa 70 construction jobs.

Halton Housing sought bids from service providers to provide pre-development consultancy services covering the following: Lot 1: Architect services including: Concept design (RIBA Stage 2) Structural/ Civil engineers concept design Landscape Masterplanning: Waterfront link - public realm/ place-making interventions Topographic Survey Phase 1: Preliminary Risk Assessment Report Phase 2: Site Investigation Report Ecology / Arboriculture Survey Transport Strategy Advice Drainage Survey Flood Risk Assessment R&D Demolition Asbestos Survey Lot 2: Cost and project management consultancy services including: Project Management / Employers Agent - Concept / Masterplan QS - Feasibility Development options viability appraisal including Housing Market Study / Phasing Strategy
