The brief

On behalf of the M3 Smart Motorway Alliance working with Highways England we (Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering Ltd) require haulage works to be carried out between Junctions 9 and 14 of the M3 project.

Providers will be required to have the capacity to deliver works in the Southern Region, Winchester to Southampton.

Terms and Conditions specific to the works will be issued during the tender period for agreement in principle.

To register your interest in these works your organisation must hold as a minimum: Constructionline Gold, Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) compliant- Silver and a permit for recycling materials.

Tenders will then be issued with a two week return period.

Scoring will be carried out within 1 week of return date.

The Subcontract Scope for Haulage is to provide all necessary People, Equipment and Plant for (where appropriate) -Haulage between compound, site, project EMA and external tip areas - we will be looking for a rate per load for this, taking into consideration the different routes listed above.

Also including a rate for day, night and weekend. -You must have the ability/capability to operate and provide a material recycling plant- proof of permit is required -Materials likely to be required to be produced -1A, 6f5 and Type 1 1 Please confirm that you hold a Constructionline Gold account or Common Assessment Standard, of "Verified" status.

2 What are the most significant H&S challenges that you foresee on the Smart Motorways Alliance Projects and can you demonstrate how you as a company will mitigate against these challenges?

3 Provide details of your current and future secured workload (Dates, values, resource requirements) and confirm that you will have sufficient resource available to deliver to the scheme's requirements.

4 Please confirm if you have SMART Motorway Experience and detail which previous projects you have worked on if applicable.

5 Please provide ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 Certificates 6 Please provide pollution prevention and control environmental permit (or equivalent) and FORS Certificates.

7 At peak it is estimated 30-40 wagons would need to be available, please confirm you have the fleet capability for this.

8 Please confirm you have standard tippers and grabs that are compliant with the attached haulage fleet requirements document.

9 Please confirm you have digital capabilities regarding electronic Proof of Deliveries.

10 Please confirm you are you able to receive electronic orders and provide electronic order acknowledgements?

11 Please confirm you are available for day, night and weekend work as required.

12 Do you have 3-way tippers, roll on roll off skip/skips, weighbridges (internal or external) and access to own tipping facilities?

13 Do you have online portal abilities, showing truck location and asset tracking?

14 Are you able to provide advance shipping notices and electronic dispatch information in advance of delivery?
