SW Regional Retrofit/Heat Pump Skills: A report into the current and future skills requirements of the retrofit and heat pump markets in the SW region

The proposed study will be the first of its kind for the South West region and will play a significant role for the region, its Local Authorities, and stakeholders through development of future policy, strategy and delivery in training, education and workforce development over the coming years.

It should be noted that this research and the expected outcomes are not likely to be delivered through the collation and analysis of secondary data.

Engagement with partners, organisations and the private sector is expected in this undertaking The output of this commission will inform several key areas of work within the region: a) Supporting the development of funding bids, both at regional, LEP, local authority level and emerging new devolved structures in the region b) Understanding the overall supply chain and its ability to deliver in the short, medium, and long term c) Provide evidence to inform skills commissioning d) Develop Inward investment and trade (sector development and specialisms) e) Support actions concerning Covid 19 recovery
