The brief

The children's mental health commissioning leads across the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership ( WYHHCP) are inviting Expressions of Interest from providers in relation to a proposed future Request for Quotation to pilot an overnight crisis line/support service for children, young people and their carers/parents.

The purpose of the overnight crisis line/support service for children and young people, and their carers/parents, is to provide a night-time (hours to be confirmed) open access telephone, text and online chat service, 7 days per week.

The service will provide direct access to support, advice and triage.

The service will provide brief assessment and stabilisation, practical and emotional support and be well connected with the wider support system and relevant local infrastructure in the area the individual contacting the service is living.

The WYHHCP is keen to see provider collaboration through a lead provider model to provide an integrated and outcome based service across the five places in West Yorkshire (Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield, Leeds and Bradford).

We expect that any interested providers will have experience of providing a similar service type and have a good knowledge of the mental health needs of children, young people and their families.

Expressions of interest should be sent to leedsccgprocurement@nhs.net by 5pm Wednesday 20th January.

The first meeting of interested parties will take place on Tuesday 26th January 2021 2-3pm The meetings of interested providers will allow opportunity to provide feedback to inform the service specification development.

The financial envelope for this pilot project is £140k and future funding will be dependent on the success of the model and further funding being obtained.

A bid for future funding has been put forward and we are awaiting the outcome.
