The brief

National Highways, 'the Client', is seeking the provision of services to undertake the rewrite of the Manual of Contract Documents for Highways Works (MCHW).

In this instance the documents to be updated are - MCHW SHW Series 1200 TTM requirements - SA10/5 New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 - Diversionary Works - SA11/05 The Street Works (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 - Diversionary Works The work also includes drafting of relevant parts of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) for product requirements currently in MCHW.

The MCHW rewrite programme is required to enhance its usability, structure, content, contract neutrality, and applicability to new construction techniques and materials.
