The brief

Contract to provide robust external support in providing a systematic governance structure to support the force in delivering safe casualty care and wider governance issues.

The key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Understanding of and working with Durham Constabulary in providing top level clinical governance, support and advice on important clinical and medical training issues. • Specialist knowledge and advice in such circumstances like COVID 19, which allows the support of credible plans made based on expert medical advice and the latest evidence. • Support Durham Constabulary in implementing change as directed by the college of policing or National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC). • Review Clinical Cases as required to identify learning and best practice. • Support in assessing new medical equipment and providing evaluation of training needs analysis. • Represent Durham Constabulary at appropriate national forums as required.

In addition, this role would provide: • Clinical Leadership. • Expert Clinical Advice. • Robust Governance Support. • Accountability for advice given. • Supporting the force with clinical decision making. • Email Support. • Telephone Support.
