The brief

BFI's Research and Statistics Unit purchases services from a range of suppliers in order to provide essential information on the film industry which would not otherwise be easily accessible to the industry and public (who would not be able to access it at source or at least access it 'affordably').

This information is disseminated to a wide audience, primarily through the quarterly publication of Official Statistics and comprehensive analysis via the BFI Statistical Yearbook.

BFI is now seeking to commission an editor to assist BFI Research and Statistics Unit (BFI RSU) with the delivery and publication the Statistical Yearbook 2017.

The chosen supplier will undertake editorial input and management of all content from the initial delivery of raw copy from the BFI RSU to the appointed design agency and the online publication.

Having a good eye for detail, an excellent command of written English, proficient in understanding data, being able to combine several people's work into one writing style and having good project management skills are essential.

Knowledge of the film industry is desirable.
