Buckinghamshire County Council wishes to commission the co-ordination and delivery of a Community based Housing Support Service.
The Council's vision for Buckinghamshire community based housing support is to provide a countywide service for those at risk of homelessness to help them maintain accommodation, with the aim of keeping them independent and reducing or delaying the need for more intensive statutory services.
The majority will be supported through short term support but some with greater needs may need longer term support.
Support will be focused on enabling and empowering individuals whilst not creating further dependency on statutory services.
The successful provider will be expected to work in partnership with health and social care service and the voluntary and community sector to prevent homelessness and events leading to homelessness and reduce factors leading to repeated homelessness.
The contract start date is 2nd July 2018.
