The brief

Based on the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD), Greenwich is the 19th most deprived borough in England and the 10th most deprived in London.

It is widely acknowledged that there is a strong link between social deprivation, STIs (including HIV) and teenage pregnancy.

Improving the sexual health of the population of Royal Greenwich therefore continues to remain a vital public health priority.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich (‘RBG’) is tendering its community sexual health services in order to improve the sexual health and well-being of our residents.

Through this programme of work we are aiming to increase the recognition, availability and accessibility of our sexual health services.

Health Promotion and HIV prevention with gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men and Health promotion and support for HIV positive people This programme of work will ensure that MSM that reside in the Royal Borough of Greenwich have the knowledge, skills and understanding to reduce the risks of contracting an STI (including HIV); contribute to the reduced incidence of STIs (including HIV); contribute to reducing HIV late diagnosis.

This service will also ensure that HIV positive people that reside in the Royal Borough of Greenwich (including people newly diagnosed) receive advice and support so that they have the opportunity to make healthier choices about their lives.

Applications Applications are encouraged from voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, including Community Interest Companies and charities.
