NECA have secured monies from The Office for Low Emission Vehicles Taxi Infrastructure fund which will be used to fund the upfront 75% of the capital costs of each EV Charging Unit associated with the design and build element of the Call-Off Contract (including the Actual Connection Fee charged by the relevant utility supplier to connect the EV Charging Unit to the power grid).
The Contractor will fund 25% of the capital costs of each EV Charging Unit plus the ongoing operation and maintenance of each of the units throughout the Call-Off Contract Term, retaining any income (minus any proposed Revenue Payment paid to the relevant Local Authority in accordance with the Call-Off Contract) derived from providing the service.
The asset will remain in the ownership of the respective Local Authority within which the EV Charging Unit is located.
This Framework Agreement will be available for use by the following Contracting Authorities: • The Borough Council of Gateshead, • The Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne, • North Tyneside Council, • Northumberland County Council, • The Council of the Borough of South Tyneside, • The Council of the City of Sunderland; and • The County Council of Durham Please note this is a reissue of tender ID DN441840.
