Refurbishment of Plymouth City Market including the following works: - New roof covering to main hall and flat roofs - Replacement of roof north lights (north facing windows within the main roof structure) - Remodelling of entrances including removal of canopies - Replacement of all market windows to include replacing the north and south windows on the upper and lower levels of the main market block and internal facing windows - Remedial works to the ceiling and internal areas of the market - Replacement of fascias, soffits and rainwater goods - New flooring to the main hall - Full redecoration works internally and externally - Refurbishment of traders W/C’s - Refurbishment/replacement of external perimeter cladding - Conversion of existing office - Installation of a lift to the first floor cafes - Conversion of disused space into flexible office space The City Market is a high profile listed building in the city centre which brings unique requirements to undertaking the works.

Whilst the works are undertaken the market must continue to trade and a contractor is required who can problem solve logistical issues undertaking works that will be disruptive to traders/general public.

Contractors need to be able to minimise/reduce risk and demonstrate the ability to undertake the works in a difficult and challenging environment whilst maintaining communications with the key stakeholders and building users.
