Swindon Borough Council (Employer - Contracting Authority), wishes to submit to tender the requirements for the provision of construction of highway improvements at Croate Roundabout (A4259 - Queens Dr - Marlborough Rd - near SN3 1PT, Swindon).
The highway improvements include Resurfacing - Marlborough Rd - between Coate and Commonhead Roundabouts Signal Upgrade (Coate Rbt) Resurfacing - Marlborough Rd (between Coate and Commonhead Roundabouts) Signal Upgrade (Coate Rbt) Decommissioning 2 subways (Queens Dr and Marlborough Rd) Installiation of Toucan Crossing and associated civils to replace the Queens Dr Subway Waterproofing - Coate Bridge (Coate Rbt exit onto Marlborough Rd - eastbound carriageway only).
Works include resurfacing of the carriageway in approaches to the crossing.
Provision of traffic management is required as part of this contract.
Contract Period The initial contract term will be for 34 weeks (+ 12 month defect period) as stated in the ITT documents.
