The Heart of the South West (HotSW) Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has been successful in securingfunding from the Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC) to deliver a pilot Enterprise Co-ordinator and Advisorservice for schools across the area (Plymouth, Devon, Torbay and Somerset).
The basis for these projectsnationally was one of the recommendations in the Enterprise for All report (July 2014) for an Enterprise Advisorprogramme that can be found here https://www.gov.uk/EnterpriseforAll.pdf Devon County Council on behalf of HotSW LEP is now seeking a provider to appoint Enterprise co-ordinatorsand to deliver a service to a selected number of schools, working with the business community to identifyvolunteer advisors and develop closer working links between schools and businesses.
This service is jointly funded by the CEC, Devon County Council, Somerset County Council, Plymouth CityCouncil and Torbay Development Agency.
Initial contract term is for 19 months - 1st February 2016 to 31stAugust 2017 with an option for the Authority to extend for further periods of 12 months on expiry of the ContractPeriod for a maximum total extension of 36 months subject to available funding
