This tender is for the supply, inspection, installation and maintenance of street lighting, illuminated signs,bollards, belisha beacons, associated equipment and associated professional services equipment in the geographical county of Devon under the administrative authority of Devon County Council and Torbay Council.The Contract term for each authority will be ten years from 1st October 2020.
Additionally, there will be a three month contractual mobilisation period for each contract, to begin on 1st July 2020, leading up to service delivery commencement for each contract on 1st October 2020.
Each Authority will contract with the successful bidder separately and shall not be liable for payment or otherwise in respect for works required by the other authority.
For Devon County Council, the initial years of the contract will include the upgrading of the remainder of the lighting stock to LED.
Both authorities anticipate a rolling programme for the replacement of aged street lighting columns.
The contract includes an option to upgrade the Central Management System for the Exeter area (approximately 11,000 units).
The contractor is required to supply a lighting asset management system for Devon County Council.
