The brief

The Mersey Dee Alliance (MDA) is a cross border economic growth partnership, straddling the border between North East Wales and North West England, hosted by Cheshire West.

Hatch Associates have been working with the MDA , firstly on a Fiscal Stimulus Package (FSP) and more recently on phase one of the FSP, the Cross Border Recovery Deal (CBRD).

The CBRD is a set of programmes to help support the cross-border economy recover from the impact of the Covid Pandemic and achieve the UK and Welsh Governments net zero targets.

This is to commission Hatch to produce a Project Proposal for discussion with Minsters and UK Government departments.

The project proposal process will also enable MDA working groups to progress proposals for funding by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
