Sustainability Plan Development and Support
This sits below the typical range for Environment & Waste contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 11,894 valued Environment & Waste tenders in our corpus.
The NMC committed to developing and publishing a sustainability plan in its five-year strategy 2020-2025.
We, therefore, require external support to both plan and implement improved sustainability with a particular focus on achieving net zero carbon within a reasonably ambitious timescale.
The NMC is looking to appoint a supplier with expertise that can be tailored to our position as a charity and a public-facing body, a regulator of health professionals, and that will support us to: - finalise a credible and ambitious first sustainability plan that we can publish by or soon after March 2023 - Ideally this plan would include the baselining of our current environmental impact, particularly with respect climate change, including more detailed plans for achieving net zero and other sustainability targets - understand better how we can have a positive influence and impact on sustainability through our commercial relations, our colleagues across the NMC and the professionals we regulate - understand current and upcoming external expectations and requirements on delivery and reporting of sustainability - provide, on a call-off basis, advice and challenge on the sustainability and environmental impact of specific major projects Contract start date and end date specified here are indicative and will be subject to approvals.
