Primary Care Homeless Services
Homelessness is a particular issue in London with half of England’s rough sleepers located in London and over a third of No Fixed Abode (NFA) hospital admissions occurring in the London area.
A review of the health and social care needs of homeless people in London is underway and is expected to report in March 2017.
This procurement is intended to support the continuing provision of primary medical care to homeless and vulnerably housed people in the City and Hackney CCG area on an interim basis pending the outcome of the report and resulting strategic commissioning decisions.
The Greenhouse Practice, located in Tudor Place E9, provides primary medical care services principally to the local homeless population as well as to other vulnerable patients.
The contract under which the practice provides such care terminates on 31st March 2016.
NHS England therefore wishes to procure a new provider to take over the existing registered list and further develop high quality and innovative primary care servcies to local people who are homeless, vulnerably housed or who have registration difficulties.
NHS England’s London Regional Teams are operating an e-Procurement process via the link provided below.
