The brief

Scarborough and Ryedale CCG would like to invite interested parties to register their interest for providing Community Chronic Pain Services within the Scarborough and Ryedale Area.

The key aim and objective of the service will be to treat patients within a multidisciplinary model and have access to a range of disciplines and interventions that can deal with the physical, psychological and social needs of patients with chronic pain including patients with fibromyalgia.

Where appropriate, the programme will be delivered in a group format to normalise the pain experience and to maximise learning possibilities.

The content of the programme will be designed to meet the needs of individuals within the group setting The provider must ensure that services are locally provided in an environment that promotes and delivers self-management, equitable access for patients and ensures a safe and reliable service.

The provider must also demonstrate how it plans to enhance partnerships and provide an integrated service that works across multiple agencies within the locality and wider North Yorkshire area providing a seamless approach to service delivery.

This will include links with Rheumatology services, Physiotherapy, Secondary Care Pain services and Mental Health Services.

The service must also be compatible with the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) standards and contribute to CCG Access Rates and Recovery Rates.

Innovative Key Performance Indicators will developed and monitored to improve DNA rates, retention rates within the service and completion of planned packages of care as well as physical measures such as improving working distance and confidence and ADLs (activities of daily living).

The contract value and activity levels have been derived based on historical information and there is no guarantee that they will remain at these levels in the future.

The actual contract value and activity levels may defer during the period of service provision.

An expression of interest as a result of this PIN notice will not automatically entitle your involvement in any future procurement exercise.

Any procurement conducted as a result of this notice will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when it is published.

We welcome and appreciate your registration of interest to participate within the procurement exercise related to this PIN notice, but wish to stress that your involvement at this stage will not carry any commercial advantage in any ensuing procurement process.
