The brief

Oxford City Council (The Council) requires provision of secure Cash Collection services on a weekly basis.

There are two components to the service: Cash collection from 65 pay and display machines from 19 car parks across the City and Cash collection from various City offices, following the collection of the cash from each of the units described, the cash is counted by the successful supplier, sorted and banked to the banks designated clearing houses and banked into relevant accounts.

The Council is looking for a single service provider for both collections, same day service provision for both collections and the service must be undertaken in the Councils opening hours.

The Council withholds the right to ask the supplier to provide ad-hoc cash collections across the City where there may be special events/circumstances or at times increase levels of normal cash collection requirements.

The contract shall be for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years (1+1).

The Council reserves the right to cancel the procurement at any time and not to proceed with the award of any contract at any stage of the procurement process.
