AHDB Farmbench Data Collection 2023-652
AHDB are seeking a supplier to recruit English beef and lamb farms to upload their physical and financial data to their Farmbench tool as part of the annual exercise to gather representative physical and financial national datasets for the sector.
This work forms part of the Insight and Evidence strand of the Beef & Lamb sector plan.
Critically, assembling a robust and representative national dataset across the main production systems found in England will provide AHDB with insights into the sector's physical and financial performance which are not available anywhere else.
Within the budget of up to £20k per year (Vat inclusive), one supplier is sought to: 1) Recruit new farm businesses to Farmbench.
Each business must be in England and have at least one beef or sheep enterprise for the 2022/23 production year.
2) Collect and upload the farmer's data or support the farmer to upload their own data to Farmbench.
3) Perform basic checks to ensure the dataset is complete and representative before submitting it for validation by the AHDB Farmbench team.
Following submission, this will require suppliers to review and answer questions and adjust data where necessary as a result.
4) Provide farmers with Farmbench reports highlighting their individual performance against aggregated and anonymised quartile benchmarks (downloaded from Farmbench) and an opportunity for the farmers to discuss the results and understand what they mean.
