The brief

***ADVERT IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY*** NHS South Warwickshire CCG are holding a market engagement event for the following services: • Community Micro-suction Services • Adult Hearing Service for Age Related Hearing Loss.

It is the intention of the CCG that a lotted Any Qualified Provider process be run for these services.

The requirement for Community Micro-suction services is a new requirement which is closely related to the Adult Hearing Loss Service, already in place via AQP.

The CCG therefore intends to re-open the existing AQP in order to secure additional capacity across the market.

When the AQP is launched, providers will be able to apply for either or both services.

Providers should note that the primary focus of this market engagement event will be on the new, Community Micro-Suction requirement.

Copies of both the Micro-suction and Adult Hearing Loss Service specifications can be found appended to this advert for the reference of interested organisations.

The micro-suction service will provide community based wax removal services for patients who are aged 18 and above using micro-suction and any other suitable instruments under microscopic visualisation that would previously have required referral to secondary care but does not require specialist intervention.

A tariff of £48 per attendance is proposed for this service.

The Adult Hearing Loss Service is aimed at adults aged 55 and over experiencing difficulties with their hearing and communication where a GP considers they may benefit from hearing assessment and care.

It provides a comprehensive service user-centred direct access adult hearing service.

Current tariffs are as follows: Assessment Only - £49, Assessment, Fitting 1 Aid and Follow up - £225, Assessment, Fitting 2 Aids and Follow Up - £319, Delayed fitting of second aid where patient is eligible for bilateral fitting - £94, Aftercare (per patient that presents per annum) - £23.

The market engagement event will look to provide information on the services and to seek feedback from the market regarding the service specification and tariffs, including the opportunity for organisations to raise questions with Commissioners regarding how they envisage the service being shaped going forward.

The event will also offer the opportunity for interested parties to be briefed on the proposed procurement vehicle.

The event will also allow providers to gain insight into what is expected from them in preparing a tender.

The market engagement event will be held on 4th January at 10:00hrs.

Details of the venue can be found when booking a place at the event via Eventbrite by following this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/community-micro-suction-and-audiology-market-engagement-event-tickets-53343172866
