The brief

Fleetcare is Staffordshire County Council's (SCC) in-house provider of transport vehicles and equipment delivering total managed solutions for the organisations fleet requirements.

Operating as a self-traded service Fleetcare also provides contract vehicles and workshop services to other public sector organisations in the locality.

Located in Stafford at Beacon Business Park, Fleetcare has a large modern well-equipped workshop and manage approximately 750 vehicles including cars, vans, minibuses as well specialist vehicles such as Highway gritters.

Around 350 vehicles are maintained by Fleetcare at the Stafford premises, the other vehicles are maintained by external providers.

The workshop currently sources approximately £160k of parts and consumables per annum from a combination of dealers, specialist suppliers and factors; purchased from approximately 35 suppliers.

Fleetcare is seeking a company or organisation to procure and manage the supply of replacement parts required in the service, maintenance and repair of this fleet.

The Authority intends to award a single contract for a period 1st December 2021 to 30th November 2022, with 3 x 12-month extension periods to a final end date of 30th November 2025
