This sits in the lower-middle of the Construction band — a mid-scale opportunity. Based on 64,002 valued Construction tenders in our corpus.
The project involves a refurbishment and upgrade of the Davaar Lighthouse.
Davaar Island is situated at the mouth of Campbeltown Loch, off the Kilbrannan Sound which separates the Kintyre Peninsula and the Isle of Arran. (Latitude: 55º 25.7’ N, longitude: 05º 32.4’W).
The proposed works involve the remove the existing rotating optic lamp array and operational / monitoring system for replacement with new High Power Bi –form LED’s modernised versions in the tower.
Standby batteries will be installed to power the full light for more than 100 hours in the event of a mains failure (i.e.) at least seven winter nights.
In the process of the re-engineering works this will involve the general painting and refurbishment of the internal and external areas of the tower.
The NLB Store is to get a full painting refurbishment on the outside with a partial paint refurbishment on the inside as detailed in the tender specification document Reference: ENPR/LDAV/1090, available to download from http://nlb.g2b.info under “Other Information”
