The brief

Delivery of a course for those prisoners identified as being at risk of involvement in the periphery of gang and illicit culture.

Key requirements: - Programme to instil positive beliefs and values to prevent reoffending in the future. - The programme should help participants develop pro-social strategies for dealing with violence and confrontation, both whilst in custody and on release. - Programme participants should be encouraged to develop and/or strengthen relationships with families, friends and community groups whilst in custody and upon release. - The programme should deliver information on drug misuse and alternative coping strategies. - The programme should centre on wellbeing and must include elements of functional skills to encourage learners to improve their reading, writing and numeracy skills (doesn't have to be accredited) - There should also be a focus on encouraging participants to engage in employment on release.

Any links with external employers would be highly beneficial.
