Horden Masterplan Joint Venture
In 2019, Durham County Council (DCC) consulted the local community in Horden on a range of options (developed by BSBA Architects) to tackle the housing issues in the numbered streets in Horden.
The preferences included for DCC to remodel, purchase and/or demolish the existing properties with the outcome of the provision of a range of new homes.
Following the consultation, DCC cabinet has committed significant financial resource from its Towns and Villages programme towards the masterplan.
A multi-disciplinary team were appointed to work in partnership with DCC to develop a masterplan and a delivery strategy for the numbered streets in Horden.
