North Kent Urgent Care Market Engagement
The three North Kent Clinical Commissioning Groups of NHS Medway, NHS Dartford Gravesham and Swanley and NHS Swale are engaged in a programme of developing an Urgent Care solution to meet the needs of the their local populations.
The programme is currently reviewing and assessing a number of development options with an intention to reconfigure and commission a new specification for the services.
As part of this process the CCGs wish to inform and engage providers of Urgent Care services in the early market engagement process prior to the commencement of a formal procurement process.
The CCGs wish to invite providers to express an interest in attending three market engagements events over the next 6 months to contribute to the development of the specification and procurement process.

The first event will be held on the 14 May from 2:00 - 5:00.

The programme is seeking to achieve the following benefits: 1.
Improved patient and service user experience of North Kent urgent and emergency care services 2.
Improved patient and service user access to primary care, both in-hours and out- of-hours 3.
Effective use of resource by ensuring patients are seen by the appropriate health care professional in the most appropriate setting 4.
Reduced “inappropriate” A&E attendances 5.
Reduction in unplanned admissions 6.
