Market Engagement Event for the Front Door Primary Care Service at the Leicester Royal Infirmary (LRI)
NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of the commissioners, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL), would like to invite providers to attend a Market Engagement Event which will inform the market of the Trust's intentions to procure a partner to provide a primary care service within the new Emergency Department at the Leicester Royal Infirmary (£43 million development, open April 2017).
The provider of this primary care service will support the progression of the redesign of urgent and emergency service provision access in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR).
The provider will be expected to be an integral part of the emergency department service provided by UHL at the LRI.
The main benefits and expected outcomes are: • Promoting and ensuring a positive patient experience, • Ensuring patients receive the right treatment, at the right time, at the right location, • Educating service users regarding access to service provision, • Ensuring Value for money, effective human resource management and supporting NHS England standards for urgent & emergency care • Ensuring development of the service and changing skill mix requirement throughout the lifetime of the contract, and • A collaborative, problem-solving approach with all stakeholders across the health and social care economy.
The Market Engagement Event will take place 11am - 1pm, Tuesday 4th April 2017 in Leicester City Centre.

The Market Engagement Event will present: • an overview of the service to be provided • a virtual tour of UHL's new Emergency Department Floor where the service will be operational • details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions • an overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timeline • an opportunity for you to ask questions and feedback on the presentations.
