Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership
Call for Subcontractor for CRF Very Early-Stage Founders No_Code Development Project
This sits in the upper-middle of the IT Services band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 36,449 valued IT Services tenders in our corpus.
This project forms part of the programme of work being commissioned under the Community Renewal Fund award to Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP, which is focused on leveraging the transformational impact of no_code development on the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the West Midlands.
Through this procurement activity, GBSLEP is seeking a provider to be able to fulfil one of three primary strands of project activity that contributes to the overall outputs and outcomes of the programme.
The project is required to deliver 20 no. no_code developed MVPs capable of launching into the market for new Founders/early-stage businesses in the disruptive professional services technology arena encompassing fintech, HR-tech, legaltech, proptech and requires holistic support to manage founders through to MVP stage.
The underpinning rationale for this intervention is to address critical needs of our region, which include: - high barriers to entry for digital start-ups; - high risk associated with new start-up ventures and the benefits of failing faster with lower upfront investment; and - lack of inclusivity of the founder experience in key sectors such as fintech, where the average age of a founder is 48 in West Midlands, as well as being white, male and middle class.
As such, this project is fundamentally focused on democratizing the founder experience and levelling the playing field within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
