The BFI's new Digital Preservation Infrastructure has a dual data library system, which incorporates separate, automated LTO6 and IBM TS1150 data tape robots.
Therefore, both LTO6 and IBM sets of stock are required to provide secure and resilient long term data preservation.
Certified stock is necessary to fulfil the performance and warrantee criteria essential to the very stringent requirements of the BFI DPI system.
The total requirement is as follows: 47 x LTO-6 2.5TB Spectralogic certified with pre-applied barcode labels and Terapack (pack of 10) 13 x 3592 JD Media Pack Spectralogic certified (TS1150 Technology) with pre-applied barcode labels and Terapack (pack of 9) This is a transparent reverse auction which will open at 14:00hrs (2pm) on Tuesday 22nd October 2019 and will remain open for a period of 1 hour only, closing at 15:00hrs (3pm) on Tuesday 22nd October 2019.
