The brief

Worcesteshire County Council and the Worcestershire NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) (i.e., NHS Redditch & Bromsgrove CCG, NHS, South Worcestershire CCG and NHS Wyre Forest CCG) are working together to commission a new lifestyle service model based around Primary Care Networks, to support people to adopt healthier lifestyle behaviours (diet, physical activity, alcohol, smoking, mental wellbeing).

The above named commissioning bodies are seeking to develop a list of potential suppliers for provision of Lifestyle Adviser Services to the Worcestershire Primary Care Networks, and are therefore seeking expressions of interest from interested parties who wish to be included on a Worcestershire Lifestyle Adviser Services Supplier List from which the Worcestershire Primary Care Networks can each opt to enter into contract for provision of Lifestyle Adviser Services.

Lifestyle Advisers will be employed, embedded and co-located within the Worcestershire Primary Care Networks, working closely with social prescribing and the multidisciplinary team, to support individuals who are requiring support to make positive lifestyle changes.

The Lifestyle Adviser Services shall particularly target specific populations including those with health harming behaviours.

Subject to the development of the Supplier List, Worcestershire Primary Care Networks may contact suppliers on the List to discuss any potential future contractual arrangements in relation the provision of these services, and to undertake due diligence checks, where appropriate.

Please note that the commissioning bodies do not guarantee any provider of Lifestyle Adviser Services any volume of value of activity, resulting from this exercise.

Furthermore, that it is the discretion of each Primary Care Network to contract with whomsoever they choose, and indeed whether they choose to take up the option of the Lifestyle Adviser role within their Network.

Each contract duration is likely to be between 1 to 3 years.
