The brief

The Council requires a suitably experienced contractor to undertake external refurbishment works to the Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth.

The Theatre is a grade II listed building, built in the 1920s, owned by Bournemouth Council and operated by BHLive, a not for profit Trust since 2010.

The building comprises a theatre, ballroom and terrace bistro.

There are also various studios occupied by Dance South West and the Arts University Bournemouth.

The building will remain occupied and operational during the works.

Following a condition survey the external elevations to the southern end of the building were identified as requiring repair and refurbishment works.

The works compromise the refurbishments and general improvements to the South, West and East elevations to Bournemouth’s Pavilion Theatre, including gutter lining, replacement of soffits and fascias, removal of illuminated signs, brickwork re-pointing, stone repairs and the like as detailed in the specification, together with all associated works.
