UK_2021_TUR_Training for Teaching and Learning Centres Excellence Project

The Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) is working on setting-up a sustainable professional development system which is locally applicable and studying good practices for stakeholders involved in quality assurance processes, in the UK to develop a wider perspective.

This pilot programme aims to create a model with THEQC to train the quality assurance community from higher education institutions (HEIs) as Master Trainers who will deliver teaching and learning excellence training programmes on behalf of THEQC.

The British Council in Turkey will contribute to these processes and is looking for a UK supplier to design an online training programme to train a core group of academics who will go on to deliver training programmes, engage quality assurance actors, raise awareness, and introduce new perspectives at Turkish HEIs.

The training programme will focus on improving innovative teaching and assessment approaches and raising awareness of quality assurance layers in HEIs.

The supplier will also be responsible for organising a five-day study visit to the UK for four senior managers at THEQC, to three centres observe teaching methods, resources and the way the centres work, in February 2022.
