The brief

Rother District Council is acting as the purchasing body for the procurement of a Waste Collection, Recycling, Street & Beach Cleansing and Associated Services Contract on behalf of Rother District Council, Hastings Borough Council and Wealden District Council ('the Partnership') in East Sussex.

The Partnership is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to provide: - Household Waste Collection and Recycling Services on behalf of Hastings, Rother and Wealden Councils - Household Bulky Waste Collection Services on behalf of Rother and Wealden Councils - Street and Beach Cleansing Services on behalf of Rother and Wealden Councils The Contractor may also be required to provide: - Household Bulky Waste Collection and Street and Beach Cleansing Services on behalf of Hastings Council - the introduction of Household Food Waste Collection Services to the three participating Authorities - Chargeable Household Garden Waste Collections for Wealden District Council.

The Council is undertaking a restricted competitive procurement procedure with negotiation in line with the Public Contract Regulations 2015.

The Council hereby invites interested organisations from the private, public and third (voluntary, community and charitable) sector to complete a Selection Questionnaire (SQ) in order to be considered to be invited submit an initial tender.

The contract will be for a period of 7 years from 29th June 2019 and will also include the option for a negotiated extension for a further period of 7 years.
