The brief

The service will facilitate peer group support activities for Islington residents with drug / alcohol support needs.

This will include face to face and online support.

Delivery would need to include weekends as well as weekdays.

The service is being commissioned with the understanding that when people with similar experiences, in relation to drugs or alcohol, support each other, it can improve their overall well-being and create a caring community where recovery can happen and be sustained.

Whilst peer support interventions do exist within Islington, we have identified a gap for regular peer support at weekends and currently there is no online peer support provision for those that wish to access services in that way.
