Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic history (BAME)
Historic England wishes to commission a project looking to explore connections between Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic history (BAME) and the buildings and spaces around us.
The project will seek to understand the relationship between BAME individuals and communities and the places that they have lived, worked, and socialised in.
It will also explore the influence of other cultures on our built heritage across time with the aim of increasing understanding of this part of our heritage.
It is anticipated that Stage 1 of this work will be completed by June 2018 and Stage 2 by October 2019.
