P0940 - Birmingham Community Equipment Loan Service (BCELS)
The Council wishes to a contract for the provision of Birmingham Community Equipment Loan Service (BCELS).
The aim is to provide a Birmingham Community Equipment Loan Service (BCELS) that enables citizens to live as independently as possible, in their chosen home, and enables Health and Social Care Services to function effectively and without delay, preventing citizens from developing more complex needs and protecting them and their carers from harm or injury.
The new contract will commence on 1 April 2025 for an initial period of 5 years with an option to extend for up to a further 5 years subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability with a proposed review in Year 3 and as well as a contract extension review in Year 5.
The contract will be awarded to a single provider.
The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.

Note any potential modification will be subject to governance decisions and made in agreement with the provider if required.
