The brief

This is a joint project with Public Health Wiltshire to provide: • A remote communication system and supporting software to enable access from anywhere in the county to the four air quality monitoring stations currently located in Bradford on Avon, Royal Wootton Bassett, Salisbury and Devizes.

The current service provider has ownership of the communications equipment contained in each of these monitoring stations. • Air quality data management system for all 4 of our automatic monitors (3 TEOMs and 4 NOx spread across the 4 locations) • Air quality data in real time via an externally hosted interactive website allowing wider public access to information on air quality in the county. • A text and or email alert system providing health advice for vulnerable/ targeted individuals who are susceptible to elevated levels of air pollution due to an underlying condition such as asthma or cardiopulmonary disease.

The text/ email system shall be linked to the website in order for the alerts to be triggered to recipients. • The Contract period shall be for a 3-year period.

At the end of the 3-year period, subject to review of the provider's performance during this period, Wiltshire Council shall have the option to extend the contract for a further 2 years.
