The brief

Newcastle University requires a high specific spinning disk confocal microscope with a microlens disk capable of detecting very low intensity probes at super-fast imaging speeds in confocal mode whilst minimising photobleaching.

The system will be built around an existing microscope (Leica DMRBE), adapted for live imaging of C. elegans embryos.

This tender process is a further competition from Lot 2 of The APUC Supply of Microscopes and Imaging Equipment (LAB1015AP).

The scope of the contract is for the delivery, installation and commissioning of all the parts required to upgrade our current microscope with the specifications indicated in section 3.

A minimum of 12 months warranty, options for servicing and maintenance and after sales service is required.

The warranty, maintenance and servicing shall begin following commissioning of the system.
