Bassetlaw District Council recently underwent a place shaping exercise, resulting in a new visual language and positioning as 'North Notts'.
It was identified during the place shaping process that signage when entering the district and throughout the two major towns of Worksop and Retford was contradictory and confusing.
Bassetlaw District Council seeks to commission an audit of all gateways into the district and pedestrian audits of both towns, with an accompanying signage strategy and designs for all types of signs (welcome signage, directional signage, finger posts, etc.) reflecting the new North Notts visual language.
This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund 2007-2013.
