Southampton City Council invites applications from suitably experienced firms/organisations who wish to be considered for selection to deliver/undertake the replacement of the existing electric top traction lifts at Canberra Towers, Southampton Canberra Towers is a 25 floor residential tower block situated in the Weston area of Southampton, there are 2 lifts serving each floor and both are to be replaced.
Only one lift is to be worked on at any one time.
The building will remain fully occupied for the duration of the works and responsibility for maintaining at least one lift in service at all times will be with the successful tenderer for the duration of the lift replacement works.
On completion and for the defect period both lift are to be maintained in service at all times The successful contractor will be required to strictly comply with a detailed performance specification and maintenance, all lift standards, regulations and work closely with the Council and their representatives at all times.
A performance bond and/or parent company guarantee (in the case of a subsidiary company) may be required Deadline for submission of prequalification questionnaires is to be by 12:00, 07 April 2015.
It is anticipated that tender docs will be issued in April 2015 with a commencement on site in November 2015.
A minimum of three and maximum of six tenderers will be invited to tender for the works.
