Pre-market engagement project for the Provision of Outpatient Pharmacy Services for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust are seeking expressions of interest for the provision of outpatient pharmacy services across the 3 sites that it manages in Worcester, Redditch and Kidderminister.
Primarily this will be an onsite presence across the sites.
The Contractor will need to establish, as a minimum, a GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) registered pharmacy presence on the Worcester Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and potentially at Kidderminister Treatment Centre.
The outpatient model must incorporate a service that enables the dispensing of medicines for all Outpatient prescriptions generated by WAHT.
WAHT estimates that volumes of outpatient transactions , during 2025/2026 amounted to approximately 20,112 items per annum with current spending on outpatient medicines amounting to approximately £13m (inclusive of VAT).

WAHT estimates that volumes of dispensing for Infectious Diseases during 2025/26 amounted to 5339 items and £1.9m (inclusive of VAT).
The Contractor will be expected to dispense medicines in accordance with local treatment guidelines, protocols and agreed formularies.
