The purpose of the framework is to provide clear, accurate and targeted advice and information to farmers, other land managers and their advisers on sustainable land management, so that they are better informed to make business decisions that maximise outcomes for the natural environment and strengthen competitiveness.
The main objectives of the framework are to: • Provide advice and raise awareness and understanding of, and engagement with, sustainable land management. • Improve the level of skills to allow land managers and associated individuals to deploy measures to improve sustainability. • Provide an integrated, consistent, targeted, high quality and cost-effective advisory and information service to farmers/land managers and their advisers. • Provide flexibility to meet differing farm and forestry advice and information needs and volumes of activity. • To deliver a more integrated, streamlined and efficient approach to providing advice on the environment in England .
