Domiciliary Care 2018 - Contract 3 (Open Framework Agreement for Complex Care and Support)

1.1 This contract is for the provision of complex health and social care to children, young people and adults.

It is not compulsory to provide support to all age groups.

For the purposes of this agreement a Complex Need is defined as; • Clients in need of clinical intervention and possibly nursing care • Clients with physical disabilities that require staff to have specialist knowledge, understanding and competencies • Administering medication and managing specialist equipment such as CPAP machines and PEG feeds 1.2 The Service is to be available throughout the North Somerset area.

1.3 Complex health and social care for the adult and child population will comprise of a home care service that supports; • those people eligible to be funded by the BNSSG CCG and deemed to have a Complex Need by the funded health care team.

This will largely involve people in need of clinical intervention and possibly nursing care • children, young people and adults deemed by the Council to have a Complex Need This agreement does not cover Clients with a Learning Disability or Mental Health diagnosis unless their primary need is a Complex Need.
